SANITATION IN OUR VARIOUS MARKET CENTERS IN ACCRA Agbobloshie is the nickname of a commercial district on the Korle lagoon of the Odaw river near the center of Accra,near the slum called the Old Fadama.The Agbobloshie site became known as a destination for extenally generated auto mobile electronic scrap collected form mostly the Western world. Filt has taken over part of the Agbobloshie and Kasoa markets.Ordinarily,markets are expected to be the cleanest places for the simple reason that,that’s where foodstuffs are sold for human consumption. Ironically,that is not tha case for most markets in Ghana especially in the capital Accra and Kasoa.A report by WHO in 2015,ranked Ghana the seventh (7th) country in the world. The report also said 7,500 children die annually in Ghana from diarrhea that is link to unsafe drinking water from poor sanitation.
