STRUCTURES AND SEGMENTATIONS OF MARKETS IN ACCRA

Market is an arena that operates in commercial dealings and commodities.In Ghana ,there are a lot of market centers but I would like to touch on a few,that is the Kaneshie,Mallam and Kasoa markets.
The Kaneshie market is a well structured market in Kaneshie.It was built in the 1970’s.Inisde the market,there are traders who are positioned in both  horizontal and vertical lane.The market is very spacious which enhances free movement and easy identification of products.

Patronizing at Kaneshie market is very comfortable and safe due to its nearness to the Kaneshie Lorry station.Other traders who are found outside the market are arranged vertically and neatly.Moving on is the Mallam market and scan be located at the Odorkor highway at Mallam.It is private owned land,which is occupied by traders to trade there temporarily.Their structures are in umbrella forms,this is to say that traders who trade there are all under umbrella structures and are not properly arranged.
During their market days,the place becomes overcrowded and unsafe because of how the place has been structured and segmented.

To round  it all up is the Kasoa market,it is one of the booming markets in Ghana and situated in the Central region.Most traders in Kasoa market are in containers,buildings and shops,with only few under umbrella structures and some no shelter at all.The market is in such a way that one can not identify the entrance and exit of the market.Tuesdays and Fridays are the market days observed in Kasoa. During these days the place becomes overcrowded and unsafe.Truck cars,motorcycles junk the place,making it difficult to free movement.These are few diaries of various markets in Ghana and how they have been structured and segmented.

SANITATION IN OUR VARIOUS MARKET CENTERS IN ACCRA Agbobloshie is the nickname of a commercial district on the Korle lagoon of the Odaw river near the center of Accra,near the slum called the Old Fadama.The Agbobloshie site became known as a destination for extenally generated auto mobile electronic scrap collected form mostly the Western world.
