VARIOUS MARKET STRUCTURES IN ACCRA
VARIOUS MARKET STRUCTURES
There are a lot of markets in Ghana to talk about the structures of some them such as Kaneshie market in Accra,Mallam -Atta market also in Accra and the Kasoa market located in the Central region of Ghana.
To start with the Kaneshie market,is a well structured and and segmented place for traders consumers and customers who come daily to purchase goods, products and services to others etc.Containers and shops have been aligned horizontally and vertically .
Inside the market are proper arrangement of shops and containers making it easy to spot the traders at at particular place.Moving on to the Mallam Atta,a market place without an entrance and an exit as well.
The market is a very dangerous kind of market because the pedestrian part of the market is what has been captured by the market as the part of the market spot which is not really giving the pedestrian the path to walk on safely. This is because there are few buildings there to keep products.
A trader explained that the market is someone’s land which they are using for business, therefore buildings can not be mounted all over the place.
The Kasoa located in Central region is also a very busy market like the other markets. It observes Tuesdays and Fridays as busy days. One cannot identify the entrance and exit making it easy for customers to go there at any given time.
There are buildings shops and containers in the market for traders to keep their products but a few, there other traders need to mount umbrellas to prevent their products from being exposed to the sun and rain.
Since there are too many overcrowded people in the market cars, trucks etc find it difficult to move freely in the market due to this sometimes causes traffic at Kasoa especially during market days.To conclude ,this will help you know the structures of various market which you can decide to purchase from.
